EnergyReckondoes not currently use affiliate links or earn commissions on anything you buy. There are no “Check price” buttons pointing at a retailer anywhere on this site right now — every button here links to another page on this site.

If that changes, this page will say so specifically before it happens — which retailer, which pages, and how it works — the same standard the FTC requires for affiliate disclosures.

What won't change

The calculator's math is published, deterministic, and identical for every generator: your running-watt total plus the largest single starting surge, matched against manufacturer-published ratings. No commercial relationship, present or future, changes a wattage figure or a fit verdict.

How we pick recommended models

Our recommendations are chosen from specs, safety features (CO shutoff above all), and long-term ownership factors — and every pick lists who should skip it. No manufacturer or retailer sees this list before you do, pays for placement on it, or supplies us review units.
